Over the past decade, the Westampton Township Emergency Services has grown leaps and bounds beyond what any of the founding members could ever imagine;  2009 itself was no different.

Some basic statistics:

The department responded to 2,285 incidents.  Of these runs, there was 24 working/serious nature fires, 20 actual rescues, 3 major HAZMAT incidents, numerous trauma calls, and 4 CPR saves.  The most notable incident of the year was the recent Technical Rescue involving a Tractor Trailer of a the side of a bridge on the New Jersey Turnpike on December 23.

The Burlington County Times (a local newspaper) reported that Westampton Township Emergency Services as the busiest fire department in Burlington County.

Some notable accomplishments include the adoption of Jake (our dalmation member), the institution of the Home Inspection and Smoke Detector Program, the Knox Box program, approval as a NJDFS Training Site, and the formation of our Firefighter Combat Challange Team. 

Even our website has grown, with over ONE MILLION unique hits over the past year.
