At 12:06 pm Ambulance 5094 (Mt. Holly), Squad 27 (Lt. Augustino), Engine 301 (Burlington Twp), Rescue 909 (Endeavor), Engine 361 (Mt. Laurel) were dispatched to the New Jersey Turnpike between Exits 4 and 5 for a Tractor Trailer Accident with reported fire. Squad 27 with 6 responded in just under a minute. Engine 3611 coming from the northbound direction advised Central dispatch that they had a visible column of smoke from their station.

Engine 3611 arrived and reported that they had a Tractor Trailer under the Creek Rd. overpass that was fully involved. Engine 3611 requested a Tender Strike Team due to limited water supply. Squad 27 arrived from the southbound side and deployed (2) 1 ¾ in attack lines to assist 3611. An attempted knockdown was made, but with limited water, the fire increased. Quint 3624 (Mt. Laurel) arrived on Creek Rd. Five Inch hose was hand drug up to 3624 for additional water. Multiple tenders arrived and supplied 3611. Additional Engines were dispatched for a water supply. Crews worked to extinguish and overhaul for fire for several hours. A bobcat was special called to remove the contents of the trailer for final extinguishment.

Squad 27 was released by Turnpike Command at approx 17:30 and then reassigned to Station 361 for a cover assignment. While on the cover the Squad was detailed to a MVC on the Mount Laurel / Evesham boarder, but was canceled enroute. The Squad was released and finally made it back to Westampton around 20:00.

The station also kept a full staffing in house for the engine and ambulance.
